On February 11th, U.S. Senators Bill Nelson (D-FL), Ranking Member, Senate Commerce, Science & Transportation Committee, and John Thune (R-SD) introduced the “Making Opportunities for Broadband Investment and Limiting Excessive and Needless Obstacles to Wireless  Act” (MOBILE NOW). Unlike earlier drafts, the bill – as introduced – removes provisions amending section 332(c)(B) of the Communications Act that would have adversely affected local governments authority and control over the  deployment of wireless facilities in the public rights of way.  Click the links below to view  PDFs of both the bill and NATOA's prepared summary of the bill.
